Kerry Chafin is learning what works by trial and error. Lots of trials. From fear of SIDS leading her to the best baby monitor to toys that make both science and art fun, Kerry is always searching for the book that helps the most in a pinch, and the stroller that can actually carry everything.

Experience:

Kerry has been a freelance writer for three years. She has written for publications such as KC Parent Magazine, suite101.com, and KC Baby Magazine. She is the proud mother of three; ages 2, 3, and 5. A gadget lover at heart, she is always looking for the products that work, the tips that are useful in the real world, and a healthy skepticism of what constitutes a "needed" item.

From Kerry Chafin:

With our first baby, my husband and I proudly went to our local baby store to register. We were handed a packet full of coupons and promotions. And tucked inside was a list of "needed" baby equipment. The list was three pages long. Front and back. We were amazed, and felt completely lost. Ever since that moment, I have been on the hunt for the products that are worth the money and the tips that actually work. I want to share all that I have discovered over the years, and help parents navigate through all the toys, advice, must haves, and trendy equipment so they can find what will work best for their children.
