Avoiding Mom Induced Fashion Disasters

January is beginning to wind into February, and many parents are trying hard to keep up with our New Year's resolutions. Keep with it! It's no secret that one of the most popular resolutions every year is to lose weight. If this is your goal don't give up. But more importantly don't let the occasional slip up derail you completely. Getting fit is a commitment and a change in life style, for you and your family. If you slip up, acknowledge it and keep trying. There are going to be days that you miss a workout or eat something that's not healthy, if you do, avoid guilt induced backsliding.

I know that cycle intimately. Last year I had the same battle, it took me most of the year to understand the guilt cycle. You have a goal (whether that's to quit smoking, lose weight, etc...) and you're enthusiasm keeps you on track for a few weeks. Then one day you slip up. The guilt of that mistake kills your enthusiasm and your motivation. That's when the goal slips away.

Don't let it happen! You're going to slip up, no one is perfect. As long as you do not guilt yourself into giving up you will reach your goal! When I broke free of the cycle I lost over 30 pounds.

And when you do reach your goal (because I know you will), you're going to need some new clothes! But beware and avoid these Mom Induced Fashion Disasters.
